It was thickly foggy in the upper areas, especially in Tsuga-no-mori. We expected the slopes were icy because it was raining yesterday, but the slopes were not so hard thanks to the fresh snow fallen in the last night.

The groomed slope of Han-no-ki was also nicely firm and covered with thin fresh snow. “We come to Tsugaike once a every year with a big group!”, a group of snowboarders from Osaka said to me. In Han-no-ki, the visibility got better than the early morning.

Kane-no-naru-oka and Kane-no-naru-oka No.2 were a little hard, but not icy. In Kids Park, children enjoy sledding and tubing with more high speed than usual.

I met a group of a ski team from Toyama Pref. They said, ” Most of us are over 40 years old and there is a 70-year-old member as well. Don’t you think we are skiing energetically like a young student skiers of Universities?” with a smile. The official snow amount jumped up, but there looked to be not so much snow actually, because of the strong wind.
