Tsugaike Kogen / ◎350cm / Snowy2017.Feb.11
Because the biggest cold wave in this season is traveling over Japan, it has been very cold in Tsugaike. When I got off the gondola, it was snowing heavily, so I skied toward the steep slope along Han-no-ki No.3 Quad soon. The groomed slope along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair was nicely firm and covered with 15cm fresh snow.

As we expected, there was over 30cm fluffy snow in the ungroomed area along Han-no-ki No.3 Quad!! The slope under the snow was a little bumpy, but we could enjoy powder runs fully!!

The area on the skier’s left was groomed and also covered with 10－15cm light snow. The lower part of Han-no-ki was widely groomed. By the way, the ski area was much more crowded than usual weekends and Chuo Parking Area was already full at 7:30 a.m.

There was also 15cm fresh snow on the flat groomed slope of Shirakaba. Skiers from Demo Ski Circle Rondor of Meiji University gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” They were hardly practicing skiing toward “The 44th Student Ski Competition IWATAKE” on Feb. 14 (Tue).
