A big cold wave stayed over Japan and it brought us a heavy snowfall. We could see the soft sunlight in the east sky, but it was blowing a strong wind, so the gondola and lifts in the upper areas suspended the operation temporarily. After removing snow and safety check, Karamatsu High Speed Pair was open.

People who were seeking powdery snow moved to Shirakaba first. Even though the course in the middle part of the ski area, it had 20cm fresh snow on the soft groomed area and over 40cm on the ungroomed area. After that, Champion Quad started the operation and people rushed into the fresh snow along the lift.

There was also over 40cm fresh snow there. Although the snow was packed by the strong wind, we could enjoy the soft feel fully!! This morning, the weather changed rapidly. The sun started to cast the sunlight and the snow got abating for a while at around 9:00 a.m, but the snowstorm came again soon in 30 minutes.

In spite of the cold weather with snow and wind, some groups of a school trip were enjoyed skiing. The groomed slope covered with 7－10cm fresh snow was very flat and soft. By the way, Han-no-ki No.3 Quad, Han-no-ki High Speed Pair and Tsuga No.2 Pair have been open as of 11:00 a.m.
