The chill got more stronger and dry snow was continuing to fall. The central part of Tsuga-no-mori was groomed well and covered with 10 cm dry fresh snow. The snow was so deep that even the grip of ski stock was buried deep at non-groomed area and we could enjoy feel of floating with fat skis and snowboards.

2 people from Osaka and Kyoto Pref. said, “We came to Tsugaike after a long time and we are enjoying the powder snow so much!” The strong wind was blowing at the upper part of ski area and it was blowing until the summit of Shirakaba. But the wind was calm down at the lower part of Shirakaba. Further, there were 30 cm fresh snow in Shirakaba.

Popular powder areas in Tsugaike are Tsuga-no-mori, Umanose, along the Han-no-ki No. 3 Quad and Champion but the steep slope in the lower part of Shirakaba is recommended too. A man skied down the 30 cm fluffy powder snow and said, “I always check your report.”

The snow was falling lightly and the wind blew weakly at the bottom area, so it was comfortable. The run along the Tsugaike No.1 Pair, Karamatsu and Oya-no-hara were very crowded with beginners and schoolchildren. There were 15 cm fresh snow on the run. It was not that much but many people were stalled or stuck.
