The big chill is coming! The temperature was -12 degrees and the strong wind sometimes blew and it sapped my body temperature. The gentle slope along the Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair was covered with about 7cm fresh powdery snow.

20 cm fresh snow was covered the central part of the steep slope at the middle of Han-no-ki and 30-35cm on non-groomed area. I saw some experts skied down fast at the groomed part, and entered the non-groomed part without speed down.

According to the couple from Shiga, they predicted that the cold wave came down to the Japanese Islands and they came to Tsugaike the day before yesterday. They were enjoying the soft and fresh snow. By the way, their children who came together stayed at the inn this morning.

There were few people at Maruyama and even at 9:30 a.m. and only few ski tracks. The run was groomed flat and covered with 20 cm fresh snow. I skied down with straight line to enjoy the fresh powder snow.
