At 8:00 a.m, Tsugaike announced that the gondola suspended the operation because of the strong wind, so I climbed up to the upper area by Karamatsu High Speed Pair, Shirakaba Quad and Han-no-ki No.3 Quad. The snowfall was about 20cm in the ungroomed area of Han-no-ki. 3 people who gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” also said, “There was less snow than we expected.”

When I got up to Tsuga-no-mori, it was blowing a strong cold wind. The slope was firm and covered with 10cm fresh snow compacted by the wind, so it was difficult to ski with high speed this morning.

After that, it got thickly foggy in the upper areas. The groomed slope of Han-no-ki was soft, flat and covered with 15cm fluffy snow. A lot of ski tracks had been made as soon as the gondola was open, but the condition of snow was still fine because of the cold weather.

The visibility was very poor in Champion because of the heavy snow and thick fog. The slope was bumpy and rough. Oya-no-hara and Karamatsu were very flat and there was 10cm fresh snow on the runs. I could ski comfortably in those areas.
