We could see the blue sky finally after a long while. It was very cold, -8 degrees, but blowing no wind. We also enjoyed the great view of Northern Alps from the top of the ski area and many people took photos one after another.

The groomed slope of Tsuga-no-mori was nicely firm and in good condition. I could make turns comfortably because the edges of my skies worked well. Most of visitors skied into the groomed area and I found only a few people went down in the ungroomed area, such as the slope along Tsuga No.1 Pair.

Besides, people tended to climb up from the middle station of the gondola to the top and ski in Han-no-ki again and again. The beginning part was nicely firm, so my skies ran well in spite of the gentle slope. The middle and lower parts were getting softer as I skied down.

I met groups of beginners or kids taking lessons in Maruyama. The slope was groomed well and very flat. I thought the slope was very good to practice skiing at own pace.
