Tsugaike Kogen / △70cm / Sunny2016.Dec.15

16121501_tsugaikeThe gondola started the operation 1 hour late at 9:00 a.m. because of a machine trouble this morning. Contrary to the weather forecast, we had a fine day for skiing with the blue sky. While there were clouds, we could see Northern Alps and the villagescape of Hakuba.
[Tsuga-no-mori]
16121502_tsugaikeThe slope of Tsuga-no-mori was groomed well. The beginning part was icy and the middle and lower parts were nicely firm. The slope along Tsuga No.1 Pair was not groomed and covered with 3-7cm fresh snow. Experts enjoyed skiing and snowboarding with snow spray.

16121503_tsugaikeI met a student from the ski club of Shinshu University in Han-no-ki. We could ski down comfortable on the flat and firm groomed slope here, making turns again and again.
[Han-no-ki]
16121504_tsugaikeIt had not been snowing heavily since Dec. 12 (Sun), however, Champion, Oya-no-hara and Kane-no-naru-oka in the middle and lower parts of Tsugaike still remained white with snow. Han-no-ki was groomed to the bottom and the course would be open if we have good snow tonight and tomorrow.
