When I got off the gondola, dry snow was falling. A cold wave is travelling over Japan and it is forecast to be snowy from today to tomorrow. As of 9:00 a.m, the groomed slope of Han-no-ki is covered with 5cm fresh snow and I saw people made turns with spray of snow.

This morning, Tsuga-no-mori was not groomed and the snow ground was a little hard. A strong wind raised up the snow sometimes. It was so cold that my hands holding a camera got numb soon.

I met a group taking a snowboard lesson in Han-no-ki. They were from China and practicing hardly. They also said they would stay in Japan for a while.

It was snowing in the lower and middle parts of the ski area as well. Now, Kane-no-naru-oka has about 30cm snowfall and it got frozen this morning. If we have heavy snow once more, these areas will be open probably.
