As of 3:00 a.m, the temperature went down to -21.5 degrees, the coldest area in Japan today, and my thermometer showed -9 degrees at 7:30 a.m. when I arrived in Oku Davos Parking Area. There was a 10-15cm fresh snowfall at around 4:00 p.m. and the snow was groomed after the ski area was closed yesterday, so the condition of the slopes were so nice with the fresh snow!

Oku Davos No.1 Beginner Course (Photo) was nicely firm and in good condition! A father from Saitama Prefecture gave me the greeting, “I always check your reports! I have never expected to see you here. I will have a good day!”

By the way, Rescue Wax Caravan Start | All Japan Camping Car Trip is held by TEAM RESCUE WAX and they offer free waxing service at Pinebeak Ski Center. One of the staff said, “I recommend Sekko and Kurokokei for the coming Spring season. I will do waxing on your skis if you like!” The slope of Mt. Omatsu GO-no-hara was melted and slushy at around 11:00 a.m, but my skis ran well thanks to his waxing.

The hazy sky was finally covered with clouds at 10:00 a.m. Oku Davos No.1 Expert Course (Center on Photo) and Oku Davos No.1 Intermediate Course (Right on Photo) were also in good snow condition! The slopes were generally quiet because today was a weekday in March, so each slope remained fresh for a long while.
