We had a calm sunny day, good for riding. In Utataro Schi Heil where the half part on the skier’s right side was closed, “The 17th Best Carveman Championship” was held! There were 3 events of Middle Turn, Short Turn, Free Riding and 4 judges gave scores.

Spectators clapped hands and made shouts when the participants scored good points. I found people on Stage 1 Lift staring at their performance during on the lifts. We were very excited and amazed by their high level riding, so I could not stop taking photos of them.

Back to 8:30 a.m. this morning. The thermometer showed it was -5 degrees and the trees were frozen in the upper areas of the ski area. Ura Davos Heart Forest Course (Photo) and Omote Davos West Course were nicely firm and in good condition of corn snow, so my skis were running well there.

5 people from Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture gave me the greeting, “Hi, Snownavi! We always enjoy your reports. We got 3 holidays and came riding together. It was so lucky to have such a beautiful day on our last day!” The refreshing air and the feeling of freedom of this ski area gently encouraged us to take a deep breath. We could enjoy the whole of Sugadaira Kogen during these 3 holidays.
