The sky was covered with clouds and the north west cold wind was blowing this morning. The slopes were quiet just after the opening and I saw only 3 people at the lift station of Stage 3. Urataro Family West (Photo) and East were groomed well, nicely firm but not busy, so we could enjoy wide turns again and again as we wanted.

Shirogane Schwartz (Photo), a wide slope facing to the south west, was groomed and hard today. The snow was more like coarse and granular snow than Urataro Family here. It was slightly snowing at around 8:50 a.m, but it stopped in 20 minutes.

The slopes of Tengu A (Photo) and Tengu Rinkan were also groomed and very firm. The beginning steep part of Tengu A was quiet, but the lower part was crowded with the students who were on their school trip. By the way, “Snowboard Test-riding Event” (No fees required) will be held at the bottom of Urataro Kamoshika Course on Mar. 12 (Sat) and Mar. 13 (Sun).

My skis ran well on the hard groomed slope of Taro Course (Photo). After the beginning part through trees, the slope gets much wider in the lower part. Taro Course and Shirogane Schwartz are parts of the most recommended course especially in the morning on weekdays.
