It started to snow at around 6:00 p.m. yesterday and there was 5cm of fresh snow on both upper and lower areas. One of the staff said, “The amount of fresh snow is not as much as we expected.” This morning, the fine snow was falling as well in the cold north west wind.

However, the weather got better at around 8:30 a.m. and we could see the sunlight sometimes. In Omote Davos Wave Course (Photo), the groomed slope was hard, partially icy, but the 5cm fresh snow on it was smooth, so I was surprised at the gap of the feeling between them. The off-piste area was covered with hard shallow bumps under the fresh snow.

There is a free pole area along Schneider Triple Lift every weekend. I met an instructor of Jiigatake Ski Area and he said, “I always check your reports! I am on a lesson camp for a child from Tokyo. Schneider is a good slope for improving skills!” (I couldn’t ask him why they were here….)

The groomed slope of Schneider (Photo) was covered with 5cm fresh snow, but the nicely firm slope underneath had already melted a little and was in good condition. This area was relatively quiet, so people of both skiers and snowboarders were practicing hard.
