Hinode Area (Photo) is the slope for night skiing in Sugadaira (*6:00-9:00 p.m, Adult JPY2,000, Under 12 y/o JPY1,500). It is open on every Friday and Saturday until Feb. 26 (Sat) and every Friday until Mar. 19 (Sat). This slope is groomed by the piste crawler from around 5:00 a.m. (Photo) and you can start night skiing on the fresh flat slope!

A mother (Right on Photo) who came to night skiing as the first guests with her son said, “We stay at a hotel in the base area and come to practice snowboarding.” It started to snow weakly from 5:30 p.m. and it was getting heavier in the north strong wind when the night operation began at 6:00 p.m.

The groomed slope of wet snow was nicely firm and we could enjoy riding at high speed comfortably. It was in a good condition to enjoy curving and I saw people going down smoothly with sharp turns. By the way, women are free of charge on every Friday as Lady’s Day until Feb. 25 (Fri).

Cosplay Event was held in the daytime in Pinebeak and people who were in costumes could get the 1 day ticket at JPY2,500. There was also a treat of free Tonjiru (Pork Miso Soup) and the ski area was crowded with cosplayers. We appreciate to all who gave us the greeting, “We always check your reports!” today.
