The coldness from Dec. 13 (Fri) is helping the artificial snowing machines to work well in all areas and the officially-announced snow amount is getting more and more. It was blowing a weak north wind this morning and it was not too cold with the temperature of -1 degree. The groomed slopes from Omatsuyama GO-no-hara (Photo) to Omatsuyama Family Course were a little hard and in corn snow condition.

Tsubakuro Family Course (Photo) is one of the best courses for beginners and kids which has a totally 500-meter-long gentle slope. This slope was also in good condition with the hard corn snow, so my skis ran well here. I saw groups of people who were practicing to ski hard as well as in Omatsuyama GO-no-hara.

Urataro Family East (Photo) was crowded with people like on weekends. The corn snow scraped by ski edges was covering the slope and softened the touch of the hard corn snow slope. By the way, Dec. 19 (Sun) will be “Ski Kid’s Day” and children under 12 years old will be free of charge.

On Dec. 18 (Sat) on this weekend, Mori Course in Ura Davos Heart, Champion Course authorized by Omatsuyama SAJ and Omatsuyama Holiday Course will be open. Furthermore, the width of the slope from Omatsuyama GO-no-hara to Omatsuyama Family Course will get extended as well. It is forecast to be snowy from tomorrow, so it is expected that the condition of the slopes will be much better with the natural snow.
