Sugadaira Kogen / ○105cm / Sunny & Cloudy2021.Feb.09
Sugadaira Kogen is placed in the highland of the inland, so it has not much a snowfall at once, but the snow remains for a long time due to its low temperature. It was even -13 degrees this morning, but we did not feel so cold because the wind stopped before the open of lifts. The off-piste slope of Schi Heil Course was in good condition with shallow soft bumps and 10-15cm fresh snow on them.

The groomed slopes of Ura-taro Family Course (Photo) and the skier’s right side in Taro Course were nicely soft. In Tengu Area which faces the south, fresh and corn snow were mixed and compacted, so the slope was nicely firm. In the ski area, the beautiful frozen trees in the morning light made a fantastic landscape.

In the bottom area of Omatsu Family Course, there is “Smile Slope” (Photo) with tunnels and you can ski or snowboard through and above it. 2 people from Suzaka City in Nagano talked, “This is our first time to come to Sugadaira Kogen Pine Beak! The snow is very light and fluffy!”

In Pine Beak, Intercollegiate Alpen Ski Championship is held for 2 days from today. The participants and staffs mainly used Omatsu No.1 Quad and No.5 Pair, so Omatsu Family Course kept its fresh slope with corduroy patterns even at 10:30 a.m.
