It was a perfect day for skiing and snowboarding. I took the first Higashidateyama Gondola, which started at 8:40 am, and Terakoya Quad Lift, which started at 9 am, to the top of Terakoya Ski Area (2,060 m above sea level). The mountain view and nature was beautiful, and it felt like a paradise. Besides, it was sunny and comfortable.

“Such a beautiful sight”, “That is Mt. Myoko, that is Mt. Hiuchi, and the one over there may be Togakushi Mountain Range?”, skiers and snowboarders seemed they couldn’t take their eyes off once they arrived. Wet snow was nicely packed on LIPS course (pictured). My ski edges gripped the snow well, and my skis ran smoothly.

Wet snow was nicely compacted too on Eternal Course (pictured), Philosophy Course, and Contact Course. “We look forward to your posts! This is our second visit here. It’s hot while snowboarding, but the snow is still nicely packed.”, a couple from Yamanashi Prefecture (pictured) said.

Wet snow was hard-packed on Mt. Higashitateyama Olympic Course (pictured), where men and women’s giant slalom took place in Nagano 1998 Winter Olympics. I saw some small snowballs around 10 am, but the snow is still not rough and nice.
