Even in Shiga Kogen, which is well known for its coldness and long remaining snow, the snow amount of 300cm deep is much more than usual. I saw experts rushing into Kumaotoshi Course (Photo) as soon as they got off Okushiga Kogen Gondola. The 50-60cm fluffy snow was waiting for us there and we could enjoy the feeling of floating enough!

The groomed slopes of the skier’s left side in Downhill Course, the lower part of Hillside and the skier’s left side of No.6 Area were covered with 5-10cm fresh snow. By the way, “Okushiga Cup Mini” will be held in Free LINE-Park in No.6 Area on Feb. 26 (Sat).

The slopes of No.3, No.4, the skier’s right side of No.2 Expert (Photo), along No.1 Pair Lift and No.2 High Speed Pair Lift in No.1 were groomed well today. The off-piste area of No.2 Expert looked to be already rough, but the 30-40cm fresh snow was still dry and fluffy.

A couple from Tokyo (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! We have been buying the season pass of Shiga Kogen for over 10 years. We know the number of people coming to Shiga is getting less and less year by year. Please liven up ski areas with your reports!” In the upper part of the ski area where it was blowing a strong north wind, we were sometimes caught in fog and able to see the blue sky.
