It had been snowing since last night. The snow still kept falling at 10:30, although it seemed it was likely to stop. Aoki Lake, where there was snow on the ice, looked like a snowfield. Lake Down Course, which was well-compacted, was firm and in good condition.

“We come here every year. We’re staying from Feb.18(Fri) to Feb.22 (Thu) this year.”, a skier who was sliding down with her two dogs said. The dogs were running on the course in an ease mode. Only No.3 Quad is available for dogs. (One-ride ticket: 500 JPY, One-day ticket:2,000 JPY)

Neither course was crowded today. Paradaise Slope, which is normally crowded with beginners, was also quiet. I enjoyed turning freely on the nicely firm flat slope, not having to take care of others. Lots of corduroy patterns were left, especially on the top area of the course, which can be accessed only from Lake Down Course.

There was a thin layer of shaved snow on the nicely firm slope of Paradise Downhill. It was easy to gain speed, and advanced skiers slid down at a smart pace. The amount of new snow that had accumulated since last night was 5cm at the upper of the slope. It continued to snow, though sunlight shone around 11:20.
