The sun was behind clouds in the morning, although I was able to see blue sky. There was about 2-3cm of new snow on the upper area of Route 1, which was well-groomed and nicely firm. A snowboarder from Yamanashi Pref. who has a seasonal ticket, gave me the watchword, “I usually enjoy your reports! I’m enjoying Route1, while it’s not crowded.” He then snowboarded down, leaving the first track on the slope.

Clouds above the sky cleared, and soft beams of sunlight gradually came out. Trees on the top area of the slope was covered with rime. Its contrast with blue sky was amazing. Powder snow was nicely firm on the flat Panorama Course and the Route 8.

47 Park is well-prepared every day. A lady from Hakuba who was standing beautifully said “I always enjoy your reports. I used to join in competitions before, however, I’m enjoying by myself these days” She then showed me a beautiful jump at the kicker.

Powder snow was also well-pressed on Route 5 and 6. They were flat and nicely firm. The skier’s left side of the lower area of Route1 was widening because of artificial snow, and there was a blue-painted sign to tell to be careful. While the skier’s right side was nicely firm and in good condition.
