The falling snow was wet in the morning, but it gradually turned dry. The visuality was poor because of the heavy snow and fog. Wet snow was softly compacted on Shinanoki Course (pictured).

Wet now was softly compacted on the Cosmos Course (pictured) and on Shirakaba Course along the No.2 Lift. Karamatsu Course was ready for pole plant practicing.

“I’m looking forward to your posts! Snow felt heavy on the upper area. Let us make this pose because my wife enjoys not only snowboarding but also martial arts. (haha)”, a man coming from Nagano City said (pictured left). And one important thing, they said they spent time together peacefully at home. There was about 10~20 cm of fresh snow on Lerch Course, Flower Course, and the non-compacted area on Shirakaba Course.

It was Sunday and I saw a lot of families. The parking area in front of Cosmo Plaza was full, and the lower parking area was 70% full as of 10 am. It started to snow hard, blown by the northern wind around 12 pm. I think a high-pressure area lying to the west and a low-pressure area lying to the east brought snowfall, as the low-pressure pattern located south of Japan’s central coast has gone.
