Kashimayari / ◎320cm / Sunny & Cloudy2022.Feb.28
It was a chilly morning with no wind. Snow remained in good condition as the sunlight was blocked by clouds almost all the time, although I could see the blue sky. Kashimayari is uncrowded every weekday morning, although it’s crowded over weekends as it’s an official “Kids & Family-friendly resort” and we have the COVID-19 situation.

I saw a couple waking in the 1-C direction after getting off No.7 Pair. They were coming with an Orion Tour group. “This is her first snowboarding. She managed to get on the lift, but she couldn’t put on the snowboard on the slope. That’s why we’re walking down right now.”, the man (pictured left) said.

“I’m looking forward to your posts! It’s an honor to see you. This is my 6th visit to Kashimayari this year.”, a family member coming from Aichi said. The powder snow from yesterday was nicely compacted on Maruyama Slope, Course 1-B & C (2nd and 3rd picture, respectively), 1-A, and 5-A.

Instructors at Kashimayari Ski School were building moguls on the side of Kurosawa Slope (pictured). Not too big, not too small moguls were nicely blanketed with the fresh snow yesterday on the non-compacted area of Course 5-B. The compacted area of Ippon Buna Downhill Course was covered with firm powder snow.
