Kashimayari / ◎200cm / Sunny2021.Feb.24
We had a chilly morning with a cold north winds. The snow brought from the clouds in the north by winds was lightly falling down. The ski area was not busy in the morning because the holidays finished yesterday, but I could find some people skiing in Course 5-A just after the open at 8:30 a.m.
[Course 5-A]
Course 5-A had a nicely firm groomed slope of wet snow, so my skis ran well there. The amount of the fresh snow was very slight and it just covered the grooves of the corduroy patterns. Kurosawa was also in good condition that enables us to enjoy comfortable riding especially in the morning.
[Course 5-A]
2 people from Azumino City gave me a greeting, “We always check your reports! I have just finished the examination to be a nurse, so come riding! (Right in photo) We didn’t expect that the slopes are so empty on weekdays. Having a great fun!” When I skied into Kashima from the bottom of Course 1-A, the slope was groomed well and nicely firm. The slope remained fresh at that time.
[Course 3: Kashima]
The upper part of Course 1-A was in the same condition as Kashima. In the lower area, some parts were hard because of the mixed snow of wet and corn snow. In Ippon-buna Downhill Course, the upper part was also hard with corn snow. I felt my edges not working well sometimes, so I slowed down there. The steep slope in the lower part was already getting melted and soft.
