The snow gradually calmed down on Chuo Slope, although we had the strong cold west wind in the early morning. “We checked your website. The snow looks great today”, a couple (one coming from Matsumoto city and the other from Azumino city) said.

The ungroomed snow was blanketed with about 10 cm of new snow on the upper Course5-C (pictured). The snow was moderately soft, packed by the wind. I skied down the lower Course5-C carefully because the snow was icy under 10 cm of new snow.

The groomed wet snow was covered with about 3 cm of new light snow on Course5-A, and I enjoyed gaining speed. I also had fun carving turns on the packed powder snow on Course1-A, 1-B, and 1-C.

The powder snow was moderately packed on Maruyama Slope (pictured). “I check your website regularly! Maruyama Slope is my “home slope”. I often practice with my friends here. The snow is excellent today. By the way, I’m going to the Fire Festival tomorrow because I had a great time last time.”, a skier coming from Omachi town said.
