It was cold well, -8 degrees, this morning. It was slightly snowing, but we could see the blue sky through the breaks of clouds. Staffs of VEX select museum, a snowboard shop in Hakuba, gave me a greeting, “We always check your reports! Today is a perfect day for riding since both the weather and snow are amazing!”

We did not feel so cold because there was no wind. The groomed slopes of Kashima (First Photo) and Course 1-A (Photo) were in good conditions with 1-2cm fresh snow on them. I could feel the soft snow from my foot comfortably while skiing there.

Course 1-C (Photo) was also nice with its soft groomed slope. The edges of my skis worked well on the slope and I could make turns smoothly. There were already many tracks in the off-piste area on the skier’s left side by Course 1-B, but it was still good for riding due to the dry and soft snow.

The light snow stopped at 9:30 a.m. and the blue sky spread out after that. The groomed slope of Kurosawa (Photo) was also nicely soft. The beginning groomed part and middle off-piste part of Ippon-buna Downhill Course were nicely firm. The bottom was not groomed and some parts were hard especially in front of snow making machines.
