Iwatake DC Park finally opened on the skier’s left side of South Slope on Jan.19 (Wed) (pictured)! Everything was great, including the track of piste and the takeoff zones of the kickers. I was impressed by diggers in Iwatake, like every year.

Currently, there are a 9-meter kicker and triple kickers (= coming soon) on the right side, jibbing features (a 7-meter downrail etc.), 3~5 meter tabletops, and a wide BOX in the middle, 5-bank strips, a 50-meter natural pipe, and a 5-meter minihip on the left side. The park opens at 9 am every day.

“It’s a beautiful day and snow is amazing! We’ll enjoy skiing all day today, and relax in the hotel tomorrow.”, a man coming with his family members from Toyama Prefecture said (pictured left). The weather was great and HAKUBA VALLEY was crowded from the early morning, although we didn’t have many visitors last weekend. Traffic was heavy even at the mountain foot.

Powder snow was nicely soft on the groomed area of South Slope, Sawa Course (pictured), and Sunny Valley Course. The slopes remained in great condition, even after the corduroy patterns disappeared around 9 am.
