Hakuba Iwatake / ×45cm / Snowy2019.Dec.27
The officially announced weather was light rain at both the summit and the foot of the mountain. However,it was a blizzard (!)When I came to the summit with a gondola starting at 9 o’clock. At the foot, the rain then turned from sleet to snow, and the slopes began to turn white.

While snow was blowing on the cold north wind, the upper part of the northern slope (700m,average 11 °,maximum 17 °)(photo)was about 45cm including fresh snow and about 45cm including the largest amount of snow around the summit. However, there were still many bushes at the bottom of the North Slope.

On the other hand, the East Slope with a snow cover of 25-30cm (330m,average 14 °,maximum 17 °)Bush was running low. Open daily for tourists from December 13 (Fri)
HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR (photo)had snow removed firmly this morning. You can easily access even snow boots that are not ski boots.

During the report, the amount of snow increased, and patrols rushed around the slopes to see if they could open the course. Especially on the eastern slopes,we could see how many snowmobile trucks entered and checked carefully.
