Hakuba Iwatake / ◎200cm / Sunny2019.Jan.30
It was pretty chilly and the air was clear. I felt as if Ushiro Tateyama at the front were approaching me. There was the sweet scent of bread from THE CITY BAKERY, which opened at 9 a.m.
[HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR]
The temperature was low but it felt nice as the sunlight cast and there was no wind. Powder snow was nicely firm at South Slope and Gezan Course. I saw people going up by 5 Line South and sliding down many times without stopping.
[South Slope]
South Slope was crowded, while East Slope and VIEW C were empty this morning. They were like secret greet spots, covered with nice powder snow like South Slope. They were firm and I enjoyed gaining speed there.
[East Slope]
Only the last area of Big Bahn was groomed, while other areas along Kamo 1 were non-groomed. There were a few people but there were no bushes. By the way, you can access to White Plaza, where ski school reception desk is located on the first floor, and Sunny House (open from 6 a.m.–9 p.m.), which has a resting place, at the foot.
