Hakuba Iwatake / ○130cm / Sunny2019.Jan.19
It was a peaceful morning with the sun appearing from and disappearing behind clouds. Powder snow was firm and great at the compacted Gezan Course and South Slope (shown in the photo). South Slope was especially amazing and I felt like skiing down again and again, using No.5 Line South.
[South Slope]
Sawa Course, which was filled with beautiful cordory patterns (shown in the photo), and East Slope was nicely firm too. Many people arrived early today as it was a weekend, however, few people headed for Sawa Course. I enjoyed skiing down slowly on the first gentle slope and then gaining speeds at the middle and last area.
[Sawa Course]
Sunny Valley Course was firm and nicely covered with powder snow from top to bottom. A few tracks were left even past 9 am at Kometsuga Course, which is only accessible by Kamo1 Lift (forefront of the photo).
[Kometsuga Course]
The upper steep slope was soft, while the lowere area was firm and compacted at Paradise Slope. Many cars were parked at the parking area by the time I came down around 9:30. I also saw a long waiting line at Gondola Station.
