Hakuba Iwatake / △110cm / Cloudy & Sunny2019.Jan.07
It was cloudy, however, blue sky apprared and sunlight came through clouds. Meanwhile, it was chilly with a cold northerly wind blowing at the top of Iwatake. It was fun to slide down in the powder snow at the upper area above Rouka, which was covered with hoar frost.
[Gezan Course]
I enjoyed making turns at the firm, well-compacted South Slope, and I felt like going down again and again. Gezan (Descending) Route from Sunny Valley Course to Paradise Slope was compacted and nicely firm. I found some small snowballs and short bushes there.
[South Slope]
I fully enjoyed myself on the wide slope as East Slope was empty in the morning. The whole slope was well-compacted and nicely firm! It was sometimes foggy, however, it was not a problem.
[East Slope]
VIEW C and North Slope opened before 9 am. I had fun in gaining speed at VIEW C, which was nicely firm and compacted, especially after I entered into the middle area and the slope got steeper. I saw members of a local junior team starting preparation for the lesson.
