Hakuba Iwatake / ×50cm / Cloudy & Snowy2018.Dec.20

18122001_iwatakeHakuba Iwatake Snowfield will open on Dec.21 (Fri) after the heavy snow we had over the last two days. Two slopes, North and East Slope, will be available. When I walked on the wet fresh snow at the white East Slope, I sometimes sank about 40cm.
[East Slope]
18122002_iwatakeSnow was being removed at North Slope and Lift stations. Neither North Slope nor East Slope was compacted. North Slope will be compacted tomorrow evening according to a member of staff. There was no bush as long as I could see, and the way where a buggy ran was firm.
[North Slope]
18122003_iwatakeIt was snowing lightly at the top before noon. When I stood a pole on the snow surface of Gezan Course, it sank about 30~40cm and there was hard snow.
