It was also a sunny morning. The cool air felt comfortable soon after the gondola opened. 2 people from Nagoya City, Aichi Pref. said, “We always enjoy your report. We have butterflies in my stomach because it’s our first time to perticipate in Paradise Slalom. But we want to enjoy the race!”

In the early morning, South was firm and the skis were running well. The temperature rose rapidly and snow started to melt. At 8:30 a.m, the East was also in same condition and surface of snow was melted and I could ski comfortably.

The opening ceremony of Paradise Slalom was started at 9:15 a.m. The competion was tie-up with “TENJIN BANKD SLALOM (held at Mt. Tanigawa Tenjindaira Ski Resort)” from this year. There were 4 categories; Men, Women, Senior and Junior. The winner of every category will be qualify for next year’s TENJIN BANKD SLALOM.
[Gezan Course]
After pre-run of 5 riders including producer Noboru Konno, Junior’s race started. Corn snow was very wet at the beginning and the boards were not running well. The riders speeded up from Hilltop and they were making sharp turns in the banks. Women’s, Senior’s and Men’s race will be held respectively and the closing ceremony will be held at White Plaza from 5:30 p.m.
