Iwatake/ ◎190cm / Sunny2018.Mar.14

18031401_iwatakeWe have 4 straight sunny days! Even from the early morning, it was very warm on the top of Iwatake without winds, so just a riding made me sweaty. Today is the 3rd day of Student Ski Competition (Alpen Ski Division). Female Slalom Division and Male Super Giant Slalom were held in South and Kometsuga were held from 9:00 a.m.

18031402_iwatakeThe inspection of Female Slalom started at 8:10 a.m. The slope was nicely groomed, however, the corn snow was very wet and the skis did not run well. At around the start area, I saw the participants waxing their gears.
[South]
18031403_iwatakeThere were totally 144 participants to Female Slalom. They compete with the total time of 2 runs. The beginning part had wider distance between pole, so they needed to control their skis well in the lower parts much more.

18031404_iwatakeThe participants started along the rankings of the last competition in the last year. Ms. Urano from Shinshu University Racing Ski Club, who won the same division in the last year and the 2nd prize of giant slalom this year, posed me just after finishing.
