Iwatake/ ◎190cm / Sunny2018.Mar.13

18031301_iwatakeThe temperature was higher than yesterday and I felt hot. It is 2nd day of the student ski competition (Alpen Division). Men’s Downhill at special course in Kometsuga and Women’s Rookie Competition at South were started from 9 a.m.. The area around the starting gate of downhill race was filled with tension but the students give a cheer for their friends.
[Kometsuga Course]
18031302_iwatakeThe groomed slopes of the bottom of the ski area were wet. Mr. Kobayashi Kotaro (Tokyo Institute of Technology Ski Club) topped the official training yesterday and he cut a time from 46.47 seconds to 45.81 seconds. He was temporary 1st place at 10 a.m. The students looked relaxed around the goal area at Up Bahn after they finished the race.

18031303_iwatake“Time was better than yesterday.” said Mr. Tashiro (Bib No. 63) from Sophia University Ski Club. Other members were from Meiji University, Nihon University & Sophia University. They said that they practiced in a same training team. 2 ladies will take part in the slalom race held at South tomorrow.
[Big Bahn]
18031304_iwatakeSouth and Gezan Course were firm and in good condition to ski. As I skied down to Sunny Valley Course, snow got softer and the condition continued to the gondola base station. Snow got softer at 9:30 a.m. in Sunny Valley and the edges were sunk deep into the corn snow.
