It was sunny and the sunlight was warm. The student competition (Alpen Division) have started today. Women’s giant slalom was going on at the western part of the South from 9:30 a.m..

I asked the members of Waseda University Mont Blanc Ski Club how the run was and they answered, “We’ll do our best in the second run.” Because of the warm temperature and sunlight the slope got wet and the skis were not running well.

Both men’s and women’s slalom, giant slalom and rookie’s race will be held at South. Super giant slalom and downhill will be held at the special slope made in Kometsuga, Sunny Valley, Paradise and Up Bahn. On the same course, official training of men’s downhill was in session.

Even though it was weekday, the slopes of the upper part of the ski area were crowded like weekend. When I skied down to Sunny Valley Course, the snow got softer.
