18021601_iwatakeIt was calmly snowing this morning. Tree frost at the top of Snow Field started falling when the sun peeked around 8:30 a.m. There was a slow turnout and the visitors took the gondola for some time.

18021602_iwatakeSouth area were firm and got 1 cm of fresh snow covering corduroy pattern. The slope was flat and soft, which made it easy to make turns. Making ski trails on new snow was fun and visitors also enjoy it.

18021603_iwatakeThe snow was firm and smooth from Gezan Course to the middle of Sunny Valley Course. The course got firmer near Kometsuga but it’s easy to ski fast even on a gentle slope. The snow in Paradise was hard.

18021604_iwatakeThe mayor trophy rookies’s ski competition was being held in Kamoshika Course from 9 a.m. In Big bahn next to Kamoshika, there were members of Shinshu University Demo Ski Club practicing for “Demo skis part” that will be held from 25th(Sun) of Feb. Their men’s team has won the 38th tournament. Last year, men’ team got 3rd place and women’s team got 4th place in the 44th tournament.
