The snow from the last night came with a strong wind. The wind had almost stopped before 8:00 a.m. when the gondola was open, but the visibility was very poor in Gezan Course and Hill Top because of the snow and thick fogs.

As I skied down Sawa Course, the fog was getting thinner and thinner. The groomed slope was nicely firm and covered with 5cm fresh snow. There was not so much fresh snow today, so only a few people skied into HIKAGE A & B, SONEZAWA and DANGAN.

Today, the 2nd day of “Mayor’s Cup Ski Competition” was going on. The members of a ski club in Nishogakusya University, VOGEL R.S.C. greeted me and said, “We met you in the last winter as well. Please take our photo again!” They also told me, “The condition of the race was very difficult…”

In Big Bahn, the firm snow of the run and fresh snow were mixed. The next run was used for the competition and the course was already rough, so some of skiers fell down near the flags.
