The fog was clearing up in less than 30 mins after I climbed up. It was cold and calm. The flat and soft slopes in South area got 3 cm of fluffy fresh snow like feathers.

“We are so much glad and surprised to meet you!” said 4 visitors taking a day trip from Shizuoka Pref. The fog stayed at the middle of South area for a while but I saw blue sky, frost, North Alps and sea of clouds from the top of mountain.

Ski club members of Komazawa University said, “We always enjoy your reports! East area was quiet so we are having these slopes to ourselves”. Well-groomed slopes of East got 3cm of light fresh snow, I made good turns with raising a spray of snow there.

The fog has stayed in the last part of Gezan, so few people rode down the mountain this morning. Sunny Valley Course and Paradise was also nicely firm powder snow and were quiet too. Still, many students were practicing hard for the coming “45th Student Ski Competition IWATAKE” in every course along Kamo-1.
