Iwatake/ ◎180cm / Cloudy2018.Jan.19

18011901_iwatakeIt was snowing lightly from last night and there were 1-3 cm new snow the upper part of Snow Field. East area was hard flat slope, same as yesterday. The area was covered with dense fog and the deceleration flag is standing front of the ski lift.

18011902_iwatakeIt was warm until yesterday. This morning the temperature is -3.7 degree and I felt cold because of the northern wind caused by atmospheric pressure pattern typical of winter. The sun was hidden by fast drifting clouds. But sometimes the sun peeped through the breaks in the clouds.

18011903_iwatakeDC PARK was maintained nicely and people were enjoying the park right after open. However, the slope was also hard and some places was very icy.

18011904_iwatakeThe ski area was started to crowd from past 9:00 a.m. with international visitors and families. I could make turns comfortably in nicely firm and groomed Gezan Course. But the slope got hard again at Sunny Valley Course and Paradise area wasn’t groomed and it was hard to ski there.
