Iwatake/ △100cm / Snowy 2017.Dec.25
At 5:07 a.m., the Meteorological Agency announced the weather information of snowstorm, high sea and heavy snowfall. The developing low pressure passed Hokkaido and it got winter pressure pattern. In the early morning, at the upper part of Iwatake, it got suddenly cold and the snow fell heavily.

Gusts of snow swirled up from the ground, but it got suddenly mild and then the sun was shining weakly. The amount of the snowfall at the sides of South was about 10cm. About 5cm of the a little dried fresh snow was on the stiff groomed slope. It was in good condition to ski.

In such a situation, the members of “Weekday girls ski club & coach” who gathered form all over Japan skied from the early morning. Although from last night to the early morning it had been raining and warm at the bottom, it got really cold.

At East, the fresh snow piled up on the stiff foundation. Although we were worried about the snowfall at Gezan route from Sunny Valley to the bottom of Paradise, the last rain didn’t influence much, so we could ski as we wanted, except in front of Gondola Base Station.
