Iwatake / △230cm / Sunny2017.Mar.24
Snow was falling until early in the morning and blue sky was spread as time passed. The trees of the summit area was covered with frost and the contrast between the trees and the blue sky were amazing. A man who posed me with a instructor of Snowboard School was 82 years old! He snowboarded down South and his ride was much younger than his age.
[The summit of Iwatake]
As the cloud broke up, the sun started to shine and weather became comfortable. The slopes of South and Gezan were nicely firm non-corn snow and covered with 2-3 cm powdery fresh snow. I could ski very comfortably.
[South]
The South is a popular slope and got a bit rough around 10 a.m. but snow was kept soft & dry condition. Children of local racing team and the experts were getting on 5-sen South many times and they were making sharp rides.
[South]
The operating lifts from 19 Mar. to 26 Mar. are only gondola and 5-sen South but there were plenty of snow this season and still variety of courses are available like: the main slope of South, long ride from Gezan, Sunny Valley to Paradise, non-groomed FIVE SIDE (on photo), White Ribbon and Kometsuga. Also by1-4 are available at the bottom.
