It was sunny from early in the morning but temperature was high and the sky was started to whiten from around 10 a.m. The slopes of Gezan and South were nicely firm and I could ski comfortably. The snow surface was starting to melt as the temperature rose.

A student from Saitama Pref. gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your report!” He said he is living in a lodge at the bottom of ski area until Mar. 20 and skiing between the job. He was also participated in Students Competition “Demo” held until Mar. 3.

Due to holding Students Competition “the Alpen ski”, upper part of Paradise, Up Bahn, Kamoshika Pocket, Big Bahn and Two Top are regulated until Mar. 18 and Kamoshika Racing is regulated until Mar. 19. I could ski down to the base area via Sunny Valley, the lower part of Paradise and White Ribbon. Furthermore, Sawa Lift was suspend the operation for the day due to inspection so, Hilltop, Sawa Course, HIKAGE A& B, SONEZAWA, DANGAN and Kamo4 were closed.

As I skied down the snow was melting fast from the last part of Gezan and it was very damp. The run was very soft until the lower Paradise, except for shaded area of Sunny Valley. But snow layer under melted snow was nicely firm and my skis were running well.
