The good cold came again one day later. The snow falling until this morning had abated in Village Side and we could see blue sky. While the gondola was late for the opening because of the maintenance, students got on Kamo 1 Lift one after another for practicing toward Student Ski Competition which will start on Feb. 26 (Sun).

The groomed slopes in Village Side looked to be in good condtion, but actually, the hard runs were covered with damp thin snow, so it was difficult to speed up. The gondola started the operation at 8:12 a.m.

It was foggy for a long time in Gezan Course, South and East. Besides, it was blowing a north wind, so I felt cold. The runs were as hard as those of the lower areas, however, the fresh snow on the slopes was dry and light.

Sawa Course was also in similar condition, the hard run with dry thin fresh snow. The amount of snowfall in the ungroomed areas such as HIKAGE A & B and SONEZAWA was about 10cm. Although the runs under the fresh snow were hard, I found many people skied into there from the early time.
