The snow that had been snowing since yesterday was getting weak around 9:30 a.m. I went to HIKAGE A (maximum 30 degrees, average 15 degrees) and HIKAGE B (maximum 30 degrees, average 19 degrees) to ski the powder snow. Though the wind was blowing at the Mountain-side and also it was foggy some times but it was not disturb the skiing.

When I dropped in to HIKAGE B there were 50 cm fluffy fresh snow that fell from two nights ago. The snow was a little bit heavy because of blown by the wind but it made the skis not sunk and I could enjoy the feel of floating really well.

HIKAGE A and B area are out-of-the-way spot in the powder day because they has not good access. Especially at HIKAGE B there were only a few people and I enjoyed fresh powder snow even after 10 a.m. Sawa Course was got rough because of many ski tracks but the snow was dry & soft so I could make the turns comfortably.

The well groomed runs of Sunny Valley Course and Gezan were moderately soft. Paradise Course was kept in a good powder condition and skiing was easy. The ski area was crowded like a weekend and by around 10:30 a.m. the parking area No.1 and 2 were almost full.
