Iwatake / ◎175cm / Snowy2017.Feb.06
The amount of snowfall was about 35 cm from last night to this morning at the Iwatake summit area. This 3 women had been the guides of Tateyama in summer in the past and they posed in front of snow statue made for “Yukikoi Festival in Hakuba”.

There were many slopes, like Hilltop, Hikage, SONEZAWA, DANGAN, VIEW, FIVE SIDE, Kometsuga and etc, to enjoy powder snow in Iwatake. VIEW B, one of steepest slopes of Iwatake, was covered with bit heavy fresh snow and many people were dropped in.

There were about 30 cm fresh snow on the groomed run of VIEW C and it was like non-groomed slope. There many fresh snow were remained at the middle part of the course and the run under fresh snow was soft so I could make the turns comfortably.

The run of Gezan and beginning of Sunny Valley was soft. The run became firmer at the last part of Sunny Valley and Paradise was little bit hard.
