Iwatake / ◎170cm / Snowy2017.Jan.24
The snow is falling for last 4 days and there were 15 cm fresh snow at the summit area. It was chilly and the temperature was -8.7 degree Celsius. The run of VIEW C was nicely soft and covered with dry powder snow. The beginning and last part of the course was flat and middle part of the course was not groomed, so fresh snow remained. And I could enjoy the powder snow.

The non-groomed slopes of VIEW A & B are great area to enjoy the powder snow. The groomed slopes of VIEW C & D are enjoyable area for beginners and intermediates. Many people were skied down VIEW A & B to enjoy the powder snow today too.

This snowboard group, from Nagano City, Ina City, Matsumoto City, Okaya City and Hakuba, adjusted a day-off and came to Iwatake and said “We love Iwatake!”
[Gezan]
A few people were skiing at Sunny Valley and Gezan because it was before noon. There were many ski tracks on the run but the snow was soft and I could ski comfortably. The snow was falling weakly but the sun was started to shine softly from behind the thin clouds.
