Iwatake / ◎160cm / Snowy2017.Jan.23
Around 10 a.m. the blue sky was seen slightly in the east but the temperature was very low at the summit area and the snow was falling, so it was very cold. The father of this family, from Tokyo, has been coming to Iwatake for last 20 years!

Sometimes the snow was blowing and visibility became poor, so the lighting of near Chuou Kosoku upper station was helpful to make the mark. The slopes of Gezan Course to Sunny Valley was nicely firm and the edges were biting the snow surface well.

White Ribbon Course has the average slope angle of 14 degrees and the maximum slope angle of 26 degrees and 1100 meters in length. The run was not groomed and it was challenging course. There were many ski tracks already but 20 cm fresh snow was soft and powdery so I could enjoy the skiing there.
[Sawa Course]
The by3 was flat and nicely firm so it was easy to skiing. The wind got weaker as I skied down and it was comfortable. The experts were enjoying the powder snow at the side of course while the beginners and intermediates were skiing.
