Iwatake / ◎160cm / Snowy2017.Jan.22
Sawa Lift (843m) began the operation yesterday! Sawa Course has the average slope angle of 10 degrees and the maximum slope angle of 15 degrees and 980 meters in length. And it’s one of the gentle slopes in Iwatake. Almost all the slope faces to the north so the quality of the snow is stable. And the slopes groomed every day, which makes the skiing easier.
[Sawa]
I skied down from the summit of Iwatake to Sawa Course directly, without the detour to Gezan Course (avg. 9 degrees, max. 20 degrees), via the steep non-groomed slope of Hill Top (avg. 19 degrees, max. 26 degrees, 250m in length). In this morning 30-50 cm fresh and soft snow was kept dry, which fell yesterday morning and we could enjoyed it. The visitors from Shizuokasaid, “I always check your report! Iwatake is wonderful!”
[Hill Top]
HIKAGE Lift (508m) didn’t work, but you can go to HIKAGE A (avg.15 degrees, max 30 degrees, 520m in length) and HIKAGE B(avg. 19 degrees, max. 30 degrees, 350m in length) on foot from the left path of Gezan Course. You can enjoy the soft and powdery snow there, same as Hill Top, and the snowboarders were really glad.
[HIKAGE A]
From this season you can get on the Sawa Lift from the front side of the hut. The 2 visitors from Ibaraki, who snowboarded down from Hikage B with spray the snow, said, “we always see the website!”
