Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field will be open tomorrow, Dec. 16 (Fri)!! In South area, 2cm fresh snow fallen in the last night was on the slope. The snow had melted a little because of the rain on Dec. 13 (Tue), but it still stayed on the ground firmly.

East and North areas will be available. East had been groomed once yesterday and the snow looked to be in good condition.

Grooming had been started from East this morning and the fresh snow leveled and the tracks of the piste crawler were notched on it. After that, the patrol gave the slope a trial for the safety purposes.

Some bushes were still exposed in North, but the slope will be groomed later and the shortage of snow will be made up as well. The overcast sky got into blue as time passed and it made a beautiful contrast with frozen trees. It is forecast to be snowy from this evening to Saturday, so there is a possibility of earlier expansion of available courses than schedule.
