Iwatake / △30cm / Snowy2016.Dec.16
Today, Iwatake is open as scheduled!! East and North areas are available now and people started to ski and snowboard as soon as the slopes were open at 8:15 a.m. The snow was letting up and we had the soft sunlight sometimes.

1cm fresh snow was on the slope and covered grooming tracks. The run was nicely firm, so the edges of my skies worked well. However, it got foggy and visibility became poor. There were a few bushes in the beginning and lower parts, but it did not matter to skiing.

I found people moved to North area after warming up in East. North was also groomed and flat, bushes were exposed in many parts. Especially in the lower part, I should skied down carefully, avoiding them.

People from Chikuma City and Iida City gave me the watchword and said, “We always enjoy your reports! We came to Iwatake to meet you today!” The snow started to fall down again arounf 9:00 a.m. and got heavier and heavier.
